I’ve analyzed dozens of fitness coaches’ profiles across different platforms.

Different styles.

Different audiences.

But the same 3 mistakes show up again and again.

And most coaches don’t even realize they’re making them.

1. Inconsistent posting

You’re great at getting clients in shape.

But online, this is what happens:

You post a before–after once.

Then disappear for 2–3 months.

When you come back, your audience is already:

  • inactive

  • distracted

  • following another coach

That’s lost attention, so lost leads.

Consistency isn’t about motivation.

It’s about staying visible while trusting compounds.

2. Motivational posts are hurting you

Generic quotes.

Basic workout clips.

“Anyone can lose weight if they try.”

This positions you as “Just another trainer.”

Trying to appeal to everyone kills authority.

When you don’t specialize in your content, people don’t know why they should choose you.

Motivation doesn’t convert.

Specific insight does.

3. Overcomplicated plans (10–20 steps, 30–90 day methods)

From your perspective, these plans feel simple.

From the reader’s perspective?

They feel

  • complicated

  • overwhelming

  • “I’ll do this later”

When people feel overwhelmed, they don’t buy.

They scroll.

Information dumping creates confusion not clients.

The fix (simple, but most coaches miss it)

  • Replace motivation with clear positioning

  • Replace long plans with simple frameworks

  • Replace inconsistency with repeatable content systems

I’ve written proven frameworks that simplify your message and increase inbound leads without posting more or explaining complex programs.

If you want content that attracts clients before they ever DM you reply to this or check my profile.
