Three weeks ago, my friend joined the gym.

He called me excited. Got his membership. Started.

working out.

Two weeks later? Gone.

I wasn’t surprised.

I saw the signs

Half-assed workouts

Zero interest in form corrections

Making excuses before he even started

Then I saw him smoking with his old crew.

No wonder he stopped.

You see these types all the time. Hyped on “new year new me” posts.

Watching transformation edits on repeat.

But their motivation? Gone faster than the video

disappears from their feed.

It got me thinking

Most people don’t want it bad enough.

Something inconvenient happens. Gym’s too far. Diet’s too hard. They’re too tired.

Boom. Done.

A wise man once said “discipline carries you when motivation fades.”

Motivation fades fast. Way faster than you think.

If you’re relying on motivation alone? You’re cooked.

Discipline is what gets you there.

Not some fake quote on Instagram. Real, daily discipline.

But even discipline isn’t enough if you’re serious.

You need obsession.

The type that makes you find alternatives when the path gets blocked.

Gym closed? Push-ups. Pull-ups. Squats.

Car broke down? Run.

Too tired? Do it anyway.

If you actually want something, you’ll find a way.

If not the first way, then the second.

There’s always an alternative.

Solid people are ready for anything in any situation.

Comfort-addicted people are only ready when everything’s perfect.

I choose to be ready for anything.

I recommend you do the same.

Be solid.
